BAN ON BOOKS

  1. Books are companions of those who are lonely and a source of inspiration. These are best friends in solitude. Freedom to expression is the primary right of a human being. We often see that a sect of people or government try to impose ban on some books which they do not like or cannot tolerate the naked facts. Recently, a book named Great Soul: Gandhi and his struggle with India written by Joseph Lelyweld is controversial in news. The Govt of Gujarat (India) has banned it in Gujrat and many a states are trying to do so. Without reading the book and its contents, how can it  be proved worthy to impose a ban on the book. Let the people go through it and let them impose ban on it themselves. This kind of act is contrary to freedom of expression.
